A Great and Sudden Change
"Nothing is so painful to the human mind as a great and sudden change."
—Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, Frankenstein

A shocking suicide in small-town Connecticut leads three teens—a haunted boy, a grieving girlfriend, and a seasoned paranormal investigator—on a deadly path confronting curses, conspiracies, and their own shortcomings as otherworldly danger closes in.

It is the last day of summer, and Davy is exploring the old abandoned building at the edge of town, unaware of the terrifying trap he is stumbling into. That night, a ghost flicks through his bathroom mirror, and the next morning a boy from a nearby high school is found dead by suicide in that same old building.

Davy seeks out Valerie, the boy’s grieving girlfriend who refuses to believe he took his own life, and Emma, a teenage paranormal investigator who wants to put their minds to rest. Together they face sinister Ouija boards, cryptic messages from anonymous forum users, and ill-fated rituals involving mysterious mirrors in haunted elevators as they face dangers more material than they ever imagined.
